The XXI Annual HELIMUN conference was the first conference to be held in person after the Covid pandemic. The conference had to be heavily modified to accommodate the health precautions at the time. Firstly, the only school to participate was the host school, Kulosaari Lower and Upper Secondary School. This meant that the committees were much smaller than normally and some committees were even left out. For example we only had one General Assembly committee instead of the four committees we have had in the previous years. And in the previous years we have had the opening and closing ceremonies held in a space where all of the committees have gotten together. This year though we streamed the opening and closing ceremonies to all of the classrooms where the committees were. Despite only one school participating, the outcome of the conference was better than we had expected, and all of the committees were able to pass resolutions.
